Astro hosting, static or server-rendered

Deploy an Astro site built for speed. Static builds are served as pages; add the Node adapter and we run your site as a server.

We look for
astro in your package.json
Then
A static build is served from dist. With @astrojs/node, we start your server with your start script on Node 24.
You need
A build script, plus a start script if you use the Node adapter.

package.json

{
  "scripts": {
    "build": "astro build",
    "start": "node ./dist/server/entry.mjs"
  }
}

Why host Astro on Cloudzyro

  • Docs, blogs and marketing sites

    Our own documentation is an Astro site hosted on Cloudzyro.

  • Pages served as pages

    Each page Astro builds is served as its own HTML file, ready for search engines.

  • Server rendering when you need it

    Add the Node adapter for server endpoints and on-demand pages.

  • Edge caching for assets

    Images, CSS and fonts are cached by Cloudflare and refreshed on every deploy.

Put your Astro project online your way

Questions about Astro hosting

Which Astro adapter should I use?
None for a static site. For server rendering, use @astrojs/node in standalone mode with a start script.
Which Node.js version do you use?
Node 24 by default. Set engines.node in package.json or add an .nvmrc file and we use that version instead.
Does my site sleep when it's quiet?
No. Sites never sleep, on the free plan too, so the first visitor after a quiet week gets an instant answer.
