Express hosting for APIs and web apps

Deploy an Express server, an API or a full app with server-rendered pages. We install, start and keep it running, with your keys in environment variables.

We look for
A package.json with a start script
Then
We install your packages and start your server on Node 24.
You need
A start script and app.listen(process.env.PORT).

server.js

import express from "express";

const app = express();
app.get("/", (req, res) => res.send("Hello"));
app.listen(process.env.PORT || 3000);

Why host Express on Cloudzyro

  • APIs with your own domain

    Serve your API at api.yourdomain.com, with HTTPS set up for you.

  • Connect a database

    Supabase in one click, or paste a Neon or any Postgres connection string.

  • Safe for JavaScript files

    Express 5 sends JavaScript with a type some caches refuse; we correct it, so your files are cached properly.

  • Zero-downtime releases

    Visitors keep reaching the current version until the new one is ready.

Put your Express project online your way

Pick whichever suits you. Every deploy becomes a version you can restore.

  • From your AI tool

    Ask Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex to put your Express project online with Cloudzyro.

    Connect your AI tool
  • From Git

    Connect GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or any Git host. Every push to your branch goes live.

    Read the Git guide
  • Upload a folder

    Drop in your project folder or a zip. We leave out node_modules and build it ourselves.

Questions about Express hosting

Do I need to set a port?
Listen on process.env.PORT. It's 3000 on Cloudzyro, so a fallback of 3000 works too.
Which Node.js version do you use?
Node 24 by default. Set engines.node in package.json or add an .nvmrc file and we use that version instead.
Can my app save files, like uploads?
Files written while your app runs are reset on every deploy or restore, so keep data in a database such as Supabase or Neon. The console warns you if a version saves data to its own files.
Does my site sleep when it's quiet?
No. Sites never sleep, on the free plan too, so the first visitor after a quiet week gets an instant answer.
