Cloudzyro

Node.js hosting for any app with a start script

Express, Fastify, Hono, Koa or your own server. If it starts with npm start and listens on PORT, it runs on Cloudzyro, with its own memory and CPU.

We look for
A package.json with a start script
Then
We install, run your build script if there is one, then start your app on Node 24, or the version you set.
You need
A start script, and a server that listens on the PORT environment variable.

package.json

{
  "engines": { "node": "24" },
  "scripts": {
    "start": "node server.js"
  }
}

Why host Node.js on Cloudzyro

  • Always on

    Your server runs continuously and never sleeps, so there's no cold start for the first visitor.

  • Your own memory and CPU

    512 MB and 1 CPU on Launch, 2 GB and 2 CPUs on Boost, and more as add-ons.

  • Health-checked deploys

    A new version only takes over once it has started and answers, so a crash on start never reaches visitors.

  • Logs when it fails

    If a deploy doesn't go live, you get the error lines with keys and passwords removed, and a suggested fix.

Questions about Node.js hosting

Which Node.js version do you use?
Node 24 by default. Set engines.node in package.json or add an .nvmrc file and we use that version instead.
Which port should my app listen on?
The one in the PORT environment variable, which is 3000. process.env.PORT works in every framework.
Can I run background jobs or cron?
Your app can run timers while it's running. There's no separate scheduler yet.
Can my app save files, like uploads?
Files written while your app runs are reset on every deploy or restore, so keep data in a database such as Supabase or Neon. The console warns you if a version saves data to its own files.
