SvelteKit hosting, with server rendering

Deploy a SvelteKit app built with adapter-node from your AI tool, GitHub or a zip. We build it and run its server on Node 24.

Last updated

We look for
A package.json with a build script and a start script
Then
We install, run your build script, then start your app with your start script on Node 24.
You need
@sveltejs/adapter-node as your adapter, and a start script: node build.

package.json

{
  "scripts": {
    "build": "vite build",
    "start": "node build"
  }
}

Why host SvelteKit on Cloudzyro

  • A real Node server

    Your app runs as a long-lived Node.js server, so load functions and form actions work as written.

  • Every version kept

    Every deploy is kept. Restore an earlier one in a click if a release goes wrong.

Put your SvelteKit project online your way

Pick whichever suits you. Every deploy becomes a version you can restore.

  • From your AI tool

    Ask Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex to put your SvelteKit project online with Cloudzyro.

    Connect your AI tool
  • From Git

    Connect GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or any Git host. Every push to your branch goes live.

    Read the Git guide
  • Upload a folder

    Drop in your project folder or a zip. We leave out node_modules and build it ourselves.

Questions about SvelteKit hosting

My project uses adapter-auto. What do I change?
New SvelteKit projects start with adapter-auto. Install @sveltejs/adapter-node, import it instead of adapter-auto where your adapter is set (vite.config.ts in SvelteKit 3, svelte.config.js before that), and add "start": "node build" to your scripts.
Which Node.js version do you use?
Node 24 by default. Set engines.node in package.json or add an .nvmrc file and we use that version instead.
Can my app save files, like uploads?
Files written while your app runs are reset on every deploy or restore, so keep data in a database such as Supabase or Neon. The console warns you if a version saves data to its own files.
Does my site sleep when it's quiet?
No. Sites never sleep, on the free plan too, so the first visitor after a quiet week gets an instant answer.
