Netlify pricing explained: credits, plans and what happens when you run out

How Netlify's credit-based plans work: what Free, Personal and Pro include, what each deploy and GB costs in credits, and what happens when credits run out.
1. Netlify's plans at a glance
Netlify prices its plans in credits. Each plan includes a number of credits a month, and everything you use spends from them. Figures from Netlify's pricing page, checked on November 1, 2026:
- Free: $0, 300 credits a month, a hard limit
- Personal: $9 a month, 1,000 credits
- Pro: $20 a month for the team, 3,000 credits, unlimited members, 3 or more concurrent builds
- Enterprise: custom pricing
2. What credits are spent on
- Production deploys: 15 credits each
- Compute: 10 credits per GB-hour
- Bandwidth: 20 credits per GB
- Web requests: 2 credits per 10,000 requests
- AI inference: varies by model
At the Pro credit pack price (1,500 credits for $10), a credit is worth about two thirds of a cent, so a GB of bandwidth costs about $0.13 and a deploy about $0.10.
3. Worked examples
- On Free, 300 credits cover 20 production deploys and nothing else, or 15 GB of bandwidth and nothing else, or a mix.
- On Pro, 3,000 credits cover, for example, 100 deploys (1,500 credits) and 75 GB of bandwidth (1,500 credits) in a month.
- Spent on bandwidth alone, Pro's 3,000 credits cover 150 GB.
4. What happens when credits run out
On the Free plan, credits are a hard limit: when they run out, every project on the account is paused until the next month. Visitors see a "Site not available" page, and you can't buy more credits on Free.
On Personal and Pro you can buy credit packs (500 for $5 on Personal, 1,500 for $10 on Pro) or turn on auto recharge, so projects keep running.
5. How to keep your bill down
- Deploy less often to production: every production deploy costs 15 credits.
- Compress and cache images and assets, since bandwidth is the most expensive item per GB.
- Watch your credit use during the month and set up auto recharge if your sites must stay online.
6. When a flat price fits better
If you'd rather your sites never pause, Cloudzyro charges a flat price per site with traffic included: the free Launch plan has 100 GB a month and allows business use, and Boost is $20 a month per site with 1 TB. A site past its allowance is slowed down for the rest of the month, never paused or charged extra, and deploys don't cost anything.
