How Cursor's pricing works in The X Subscription: Free, Plus, Premium, Super, Ultra and Teams, the weekly usage pool, top-ups and model rates.
1. Cursor's plans at a glance
Cursor is now sold as part of The X Subscription, one subscription for Cursor, Grok and X. Figures from Cursor's pricing page and docs, checked on November 1, 2026. Prices don't include tax.
- Free: $0, with limited agent and chat requests.
- Plus: $8 a month, or $80 a year. Cursor's own models only.
- Premium: $30 a month, or $300 a year. 4x Plus usage.
- Super: $100 a month, or $1,000 a year. 15x Plus usage.
- Ultra: $200 a month, or $2,000 a year. 50x Plus usage.
- Teams: from $30 per user a month.
- Enterprise: custom pricing.
2. What each plan includes
Plus gives you Agent with Cursor's own models (Grok 4.7, Grok 4.6, Grok 4.5 and Composer 2.5) at fixed settings, plus Grok Chat, Voice, Imagine, Build and Grok API access. It doesn't include Auto, cloud agents, automations, Bugbot, third-party models or your own API keys.
Premium adds 4x the usage, cloud agents and automations, code hosting on Origin, AI code review with Bugbot, Grok Bot, and third-party models such as Claude, GPT and Gemini at API list price.
Super adds 15x Plus usage and priority model access at peak times. Ultra adds 50x Plus usage and the earliest access to new products and models.
Teams seats match Premium, Super or Ultra in price and usage, and add central billing, usage analytics, team-wide privacy mode, SAML and OIDC single sign-on, and a team marketplace for rules, skills and plugins. Plus isn't available for teams. Enterprise adds pooled usage, invoicing, SCIM, granular spend controls and audit logs.
3. How usage is billed
Each paid plan includes one pool of usage for Cursor's own models. It's shared across everything on your subscription: Agent in the editor, the CLI, cloud agents, Grok Bot and the Grok apps. The pool refreshes weekly, so one heavy day doesn't use up your month, and unused usage doesn't roll over. Different models use the pool at different rates.
When the weekly pool runs out, you can wait for the reset, upgrade, or keep going with prepaid credit. Top-ups add credit that lasts until it's used or expires, currently 365 days after purchase. You can turn on Auto Top-up and set a monthly limit on paid extra usage.
Beyond the pool, Cursor's models cost, per million tokens:
- Composer 2.5: $0.50 input, $2.50 output, $0.20 cache read
- Grok 4.7: $2 input, $6 output, $0.50 cache read
- Grok 4.7 (Fast): $4 input, $12 output
Third-party models are never in the pool. On Premium and above they're billed from the first request at the model's list price: Cursor lists Claude Sonnet 5.5 at $2 input and $10 output, and Claude Opus 5.5 at $4 and $20, per million tokens. Regional data residency adds 10%.
On Teams and Enterprise, eligible third-party model requests also carry a Cursor Token Rate of $0.25 per million tokens, including requests made with your own API key. Individual plans don't pay it.
4. Worked examples
- A hobbyist happy with Cursor's own models: Plus, $8 a month or $80 a year.
- A developer who wants Claude in Cursor: Premium at $30, plus third-party usage from credit. 10 million input and 2 million output tokens of Sonnet 5.5 a month is $20 plus $20, so about $70 in total.
- A team of 4 on Premium seats: $120 a month, plus any third-party usage and the $0.25 per million Cursor Token Rate on eligible requests.
- A heavy daily agent user: Super at $100 a month, with 15x Plus usage and priority at peak times.
5. Limits worth knowing
- Plus and Free can't use third-party models at all.
- The Grok API is included on paid plans but billed separately at standard model rates; it doesn't draw from your weekly pool.
- Existing customers on legacy plans (Hobby, Pro, Pro+, Ultra and the old Teams seats) keep two monthly pools and on-demand usage instead of a weekly pool and top-ups.
- Current plans don't include Max Mode. It's only on legacy request-based plans, billed at the model's API rate plus 20%.
- Usage limits reset weekly, not monthly, and nothing carries over.
- Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge.
- Cursor is only sold directly. Subscriptions from resellers aren't authorized and can be suspended.
6. How to keep your Cursor costs down
- Use Composer 2.5 for routine edits: it's the cheapest of Cursor's own models and draws from your included pool.
- Save third-party models for work that needs them, since every token comes from prepaid credit.
- Set a monthly limit on extra usage, and check your usage during the week.
- On Teams, give Super or Ultra seats only to people who run agents all day.
7. Where Cloudzyro fits
Cursor helps you write the code; it doesn't host your site. Cloudzyro hosts what you build: deploy straight from Cursor, from Git or from a zip, and pay a flat price per site. Launch is free and allows business use, with 1 CPU, 512 MB of memory and 100 GB of traffic. Boost is $20 a month per site with 2 CPUs, 2 GB and 1 TB, and team members are always free. See Build with Cursor.
