The short answer
Railway bills what you use by the second, on top of a small monthly plan that includes the same amount of usage. Render charges a flat workspace fee plus a price for each service instance. Both are good at running several services together. Cloudzyro charges a flat price per site with the compute and traffic included.
Free plans
Railway gives a 30-day trial with $5 of credit, then $1 of usage a month on its free plan. Render's free web services spin down after 15 minutes without traffic and take about a minute to wake. Cloudzyro's Launch plan is free for business use and never sleeps.
Costs as you grow
On Railway, a CPU costs about $20 a month and each GB of memory about $10, and outbound traffic is $0.05 per GB. On Render, Pro is $25 a month plus each service's compute, and extra bandwidth is $0.15 per GB. On Cloudzyro, Boost is $20 a month per site with 2 CPUs, 2 GB and 1 TB of traffic, and extra CPU is $8 a month and extra memory $4 per GB if you need them.
Which should you choose?
Choose Railway if you want to pay exactly for what each service uses and like building projects from many services. Choose Render if you want a flat team fee and managed workers and databases. Choose Cloudzyro if you're putting websites and web apps online and want one predictable price per site.
